Pair the GAdmin Agent
Pair the correct DayZ instance with its server-bound credentials. The GAdmin portal always remains a remote service at https://gadmin.cloud; only the Agent is connected to your server environment.
1. Create the server-side settings file
Start the GAdmin server-side component once. It creates the following directory and settings file inside the selected DayZ profiles directory. Path separators can differ by server environment:
<DayZ profiles>/GAdminAgent/Settings.jsonOpen Agent setup for this server in the remote GAdmin portal. Copy the generated values into the file:
{
"serverId": "GAS-0123456789ABCDEF0123456789ABCDEF",
"apiKey": "gak_server-api-key-from-gadmin",
"apiBaseUrl": "https://gadmin.cloud"
}apiKey as a secretThe raw value is needed only for server pairing. Restrict access to the DayZ profiles directory and rotate the key if the file or value is disclosed.
2. Deploy the Agent for your server arrangement
Use the Agent package or hosting integration supplied for your server arrangement. On a self-managed server, deploy it with the administrative access provided by your environment. On a managed host such as Nitrado, use the provider's control panel and file-management options, together with the supported GAdmin package or integration available for that service.
GAdmin does not require the DayZ server to use a particular operating system. What matters is access to the correct profiles directory, the configured BattlEye RCON endpoint and outbound HTTPS connectivity.
Multiple DayZ servers in one environment
Pair each instance with the GAdminAgent/Settings.json file from its own profiles directory. Never reuse a Server ID or API key for another DayZ instance.
3. What successful pairing creates
The Agent verifies the GAS- Server ID and gak_ API key together. The portal then issues a persistent Agent credential and delivers the configuration required for supported server operations.
The Agent stores runtime credentials using the protection available in the selected server or hosting environment. Do not edit, copy or publish the protected credential state.
4. Network model
The Agent requires outbound HTTPS access to https://gadmin.cloud. The portal is not installed on the DayZ server and has no end-user offline mode. BattlEye communication uses the RCON endpoint configured for the paired server. No additional public inbound port is required specifically for the Agent.
5. Verify health
- Open the server in GAdmin and confirm its agent status becomes connected.
- Verify snapshot timestamps continue to advance.
- Compare the portal player list with the live server.
- Send a controlled test message and inspect the reported result.
Disconnecting or removing the Agent
Use Agent setup in the portal to rotate or revoke credentials before removing the Agent from the server environment. The removal steps depend on the server platform or hosting provider; remove the GAdmin Agent package or integration and its protected runtime data according to that environment's controls.
